A three day workshop on "SCILAB Fundamentals"

Department of ECE is going to conduct a workshop on "SCILAB Fundamentals" to our students from 23rd to 25th October 2017.

About Workshop:

This three day workshop & hands on training to the students to meet the requirements of the industry. The SCILAB is free and open source software for numerical computation  providing a powerful computing environment for engineering and scientific applications. SCILAB includes hundreds of mathematical functions. It is a high level programming language allowing access to advanced data structures, 2-D and 3-D graphical functions. its ability to interconnect with third party technologies and applications. It can also act as a unique platform to bring together codes written in different programming languages in a single, unified language, thus facilitating their distribution, back-up and use.

A workshop on "Introduction to Embedded Systems"

Department of ECE is conducting a workshop on "Introduction to Embedded Systems" to our 2/4 ECE Students.

About Workshop:

The aim of this workshop is to make the students learn basics in Embedded Systems. Embedded Technology is now in its prime and the wealth of knowledge available is mind blowing. However, most embedded systems engineers have a common complaint. There are no comprehensive resources available over the internet which deal with the various design and implementation issues of this technology.

The Main objective of this Introduction to Embedded Systems Workshop is to make the students conceptually and practically aware about:

  • To make students learn and interact with renowned industry experts.
  • To make every student learn basics in 8051 Micro-controller hardware & programming which would be very useful for developing their own projects.

A workshop on "ARM & Raspberry Pi"

Department of ECE has conducted a workshop on "ARM & Raspberry Pi" on 9th & 12th October 2017.

About Workshop:

The aim of this workshop is to make the students learn what are the different Controllers available like basic 8051 to Arm Cortex. Simulation tools required for different Embedded Application, ARM and Raspberry Pi Architecture, Instruction set and Python Programming and IOT Applications, Image processing using Raspberry pi complete hands on training.

The Main objective of this ARM & Raspberry Pi workshop is to make the students conceptually and practically aware about:

  • To make students learn and interact with renowned industry experts..
  • To make every student an expert in Python programming which would be very useful for developing their own projects with Raspberry pi

A two day national workshop on "FPGA based system design using Verilog"

Department of ECE is conducted a two day national level workshop on "FPGA based system design using Verilog" on 6th & 7th October 2017.

About Workshop:

A Field-programmable gate array (FPGA) is an integrated circuit designed to be configured by a customer or a designer after manufacturing – hence “field-programmable”. The FPGA configuration is generally specified using a Hardware description language (HDL) like Verilog/VHDL, similar to that used for an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC).

The Main objective of this VLSI workshop is to make the students conceptually and practically aware about:

  • Programming Concept used in Verilog based Hardware Programming Language.
  • Introduction to SPARTAN6
  • FPGA Interfacing with sensors

A two day workshop on “Arduino Programming & Sensors Interfacing” 

Department of ECE is conducted a two day national level workshop on "Arduino Programming & Sensors Interfacing".

About Workshop:

The Arduino Programming & Sensor Interfacing Workshop is a beginner’s workshop designed to get new comers up and running with Arduino microcontrollers. This workshop was organized by the department of ECE, in association with R&D Cell (ECE Dept.), Electronics Hobby Club (EHC) of ECE Dept. To share the knowledge acquired in campus and from other technical institutions to the 2nd year students with the help of our technical skill development group organized by students of SIR CR REDDY ENGINEERING COLLEGE.

  • Have fun and make something with other people. Encourage participants to become active learners in the Maker tradition of try-fail-try, share, and participate.
  • Each participant:
    • will leave the workshop with a working knowledge of how to get started using Arduino.
    • will know what to do next to keep learning and working with Arduino.
    • will learn and apply at least 3 basic Arduino programming skills.
