The Department of Computer Science & Engineering was established in the year 1989 along with the inception of college. The department is offering Under Graduate & Post Graduate programs in CSE & CST respectively. The intake for UG is 180 and for MTech CST are 18. Since the inception the department has regarded enormous growth over the time & met the challenges from the industry from the field of engineering & technical education. The management has provided all the necessary requirements for the department from time to time with the dynamic requirements of industry. The department has a teaching staff with PhD and has the distinction of having staff with MTech qualification only.

The department has modern laboratories to serve the teaching and research needs of the students of the department. The department has procured required number of licenses for software's like Microsoft Desktop Education all language license/software assurance packs and also other software's like ORACLE, Rational Rose. In addition to these software's the department is encouraging its staff & students to use the freeware software's. The department is well equipped with more than 300 computers with state of the art latest configuration. The students can experience a great facility of a total networked environment. The department is using 10no's of high-end servers for fulfilling the requirements of the students.

In central library of the college with a book capacity of about 45,000 books cater the needs of the students. In addition to the book collection, the central library provides the facility of e-books, print & e-journals, online lessons, video lessons for the benefit of students. In addition to the facilities provided by the central library the CSE department maintains a department library with a collection of 1500 books to substantiate the requirements of students. The department provides access to internet facility to its students with a bandwidth of 20mbps with which the students can enrich their professional skills.

The students of the department are exposed to co-curricular and extra-curricular activities at the college level, inter college level & university level. The student association CLASIC- CRRs Lustrous And Surmounting Intellectuals of Computer Science provides a platform to the student of the CSE department to exhibit their academic, cultural, sports & other talents. Majority of the students of the department are members of the professional society CSI- "Computer Society of India" with which the students are exposed to various events conducted by the CSI at country level. In addition to the regular academic training the students of the department will be given training for GATE, GRE, CAT, TOEFL & other competitive examinations. The students will be given CRT training for placements that visit our campus for placements. Majority of eligible students will be either absorbed by MNC's for placement or may opt for higher education in India or abroad.


The Vision is to build a strong teaching, learning and research  environment that responds promptly  to the latest developments and challenges of the core and interdisciplinary areas in the contemporary world. 



The Mission is to amplify the scholarliness of the students, in theoretical and practical areas of the discipline and related thus productively apply the same gained, to invent new and to upgrade the existing technologies to meet the dynamic needs of the world.

Program outcomes:

PO (a):Engineering Knowledge: Ability to apply basic and contemporary science, technology and engineering skill to identifying                              software/hardware problems in the industry and academia and be able to develop practical solution to them.

PO (b):Problem analysis: Ability to analyze identifies, formulate, and solve computer software and hardware related engineering                              problems.

PO (c):Design/development of solutions: Ability to design, implement and evaluate a computer – based system, process, component,                        or program to meet desired needs.

PO (d):Conduct investigations of complex problems: Ability to apply design and development principles in the construction of                                software systems of varying complexity.

PO (e):Modern tool usage: Ability to use techniques, skills, and modern software development tools necessary for computing practice.

PO (f):The engineer and society: Ability to analyze the local and global impact of computing on individuals, organizations and                                  society.

PO (g):Environment and sustainability: Ability to the broad education necessary to understand the impact of computer engineering                          solutions in a global, economic, environmental, and social context.

PO (h):Ethics: Ability for understand of professional, ethical, legal, security and social issues and responsibilities.

PO (i):Individual and team work: Ability to function effectively as individual and as member with others as part of a team, including                       those with different specialties with in computer science and computer engineering to accomplish a common goal.

PO (j):Communication: Be effective communicators and to function well in multi – disciplinary teams the graduates should be able to                     communicate effectively as software professional with users, peers and higher management.

PO (k):Project management and finance: Ability to work with good engineering and managerial skills under proper financial                                   constraints.

PO (l):Life-long learning: Ability to recognize the need for and to engage in life - long learning.

Program Educational Objectives:

I.The graduates of the program will understand the concepts and principles of Computer Science and Engineering inclusive of basic sciences.

II.The program enables the learners to provide the technical skills necessary to design and implement computer systems and applications, to conduct open-ended problem solving, and apply critical thinking.

III.The graduates of the program will practice the profession with work effectively on teams to communicate in written and oral form, ethics, integrity, leadership and social responsibility through safe engineering leading them to contribute their might for the good of the human race.

IV.The program encourages the students to become lifelong activity and as a means to the creative discovery, development, and implementation of technology as well as to keep up with the dynamic nature of the Computer Science and Engineering discipline.

Program Specific Outcomes:

PS01: Foundation of Mathematical Concepts: The ability to use mathematical methodologies to solve the problems using suitable                           mathematical analysis, data structures and suitable algorithm.

PSO2: Foundation of Computer System: The ability to interpret the fundamental concepts and methodology of computer systems.                           Students can understand the functionality of hardware and software aspects of computer systems.

PSO3: Foundation of Software development: The ability to apply design and development principles in the construction of software                       systems of varying complexity.
