The students are imparted with Industry Relevant skills, which help them to get placed in world-class Organisations and for further excellence throughout their Professional careers.

We, at the Department of Information Technology inculcate a sense of pride and confidence in our students, to face the challenges of the ever-changing Technological Innovations. The Department strives not only to make the students Tech-savvy, but also to groom them as humane citizens of the society, who are going to be the inspiration for future generations. We, as a team rededicate ourselves to take the Department of Information Technology to further heights of success and glory. We have top class students who are consistently getting placed in several product based companies like TCS,Accenture,Cognigent, Wipro, Capgemini, Infosys, Tech Mahendra and Lava, etc.

The department always maintains the required number of faculty as per the norms stipulated by the statutory bodies. The Department is headed by a doctorate and 3 other Doctorates with 17 other senior faculty members with M.Tech Qualification. The faculty is a perfect blend of Academicians and Industry professionals having different specializations in Computer Science and Engineering and Information Technology to impart their expertise through diversified courses of the B.Tech program.

A good number of faculties are attending the conferences/workshops etc., to enhance their quality in academics and to get themselves acquainted with latest technological trends and students are encouraged to participate in Workshops & Techfests to update their technical abilities. Course files and lab handouts are supplied to the students to facilitate them overall idea about the course they are going to study. Electronic teaching facility such as LCD is being extensively used in addition to Lecture method in both class rooms and Labs. An exclusive counseling session is included in the Time-table, in which each faculty is allotted with 20 students. Students are counseled in these classes where solutions are pertaining to their academic and personal problems provided.

The Department has modern laboratories to serve the teaching and research needs of the students and faculty of the Department. CM’s skill excellence centre sponsored AWS Lab established in the department for giving extensive training on Cloud Computing& Android technologies. All the Computers are networked and configured with different network services.

The labs are having various platforms like WINDOWS-NT,  Red-hat LINUX, FEDORA and equipment like Line Printer, Color Laser Printers, CD-Writers, Photo Copier And Scanners. The software’s available are TURBO C, TURBO C++, Windows-NT 4.0, Sco-Unix,LINUX with Latest versions, LINUX Version 10.10, ORACLE academic alliance & MSDN academic alliance with tools and IBM-Rational Rose.

The Information Technology department is well equipped with 130 computers with latest configuration and is networked using latest servers.       Department Library for the utility of the students & staff of the Department. The library consists of 515 titles and 1760 volumes to meet the requirement of the students in addition to the Central Library.

About 80% of the eligible candidates are getting placements with 4.0 to 4.5 Lakhs/Annum as average package and 7.5Lakhs/annum as highest package. The Remaining students pursue higher education in India & abroad through GATE and GRE. In the year 20-21, 75 students selected out of 72 eligible students.CRT Training for placements and GATE coaching will be provided to the Students by providing Internet facility with a dedicated bandwidth of 240 Mbps.

Every year the college conducts National level TECHFEST to explore the Technical and Presentation skills of the students. The college provides financial assistance to the students to take-up minor research projects. Training is provided to the students for Microsoft certification and other similar professional certifications.
