Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) offers under graduate (B. Tech.) course in EEE and a post graduate (M. Tech.) specialization in Power Systems and Automation and is permanently affiliated JNTUK, Kakinada Andhra Pradesh, India. Department of EEE was started in the year 1994 with an intake of 60 students and subsequently enhanced to 120 students. The Department offers M. Tech. specialization for an intake of 06 students.

The Department has well qualified and full-fledged faculty, activity associated with research work and have published a number of papers in National & International Journals, Conferences and also have interaction with reputed institutions. The Department is headed by Prof. A. Srinivasa Reddy.  The average experience of a teacher is more than 10 years and the maximum experience is 30 years. The Department also has experienced and qualified non-teaching staff to assist and help the Department in day-to-day conduction of practical classes and in maintenance works.

The Department is spread over an area of 3250m2 which includes 9 core laboratories and a computer centre in a total laboratory plinth area of 1057 m2 with an expenditure of Rs. 8278661.83. State of art Licensed Software such as MATLAB, PSCAD, & ETAP are available in the EEE Department. The Department has well-furnished class rooms, e-class room and all faculty are provided with personal computers in staff cabins and net facility.

Apart from the college central library a well furnished Department Library is also available. The Department Library is well stocked with more than 643 titles with 2602 volumes of text books. University question papers, Class test papers along with solutions, Project records and manuals for all lab courses, in-plant training reports, workshop and seminar CD’s are also kept in the Department Library for staff and students reference. The college subscribed standard International Journals and Indian Journals for EEE. Courses are subscribed/ licensed for accessing through “INDEST-AICTE” Consortium’s IEL online.

To nurture students and bring out their creativity every year TECH-FEST (National Level Technical paper Contest) will be conducted for students in all thrust areas of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Apart from the paper presentation contest, technical events like spot competitions in “C”, technical quiz and project exhibition in various fields of Electrical and Electronics Engineering are also conducted.

The Institution of Engineers (India) Students’ Chapter of EEE Department actively conducts co-curricular and extracurricular activities that are necessary for overall development of students and is chronicled news letter every year in the Department. Industrial tours and guest lectures are part of our curriculum and regularly arranged by the Department. Counseling of students is regularly conducted by the Department to monitor their regularity and academic progress.
